Who we are
Spin-Gamer (spin-gamer.com) is run by Paul Stollery, in the United Kingdom. He is responsible for your data. Questions, or a request to see or delete your data: paulstollery@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Your account. When you sign up, with an email address or with Google, we keep your email address, your name and your profile picture. Sign-in is handled by Clerk, who store your login details for us.
- Your rides. When you finish a class while signed in, we save its numbers: when you rode, for how long, your power and cadence, the estimated distance, and which games you played. That is what Your rides shows you.
- How the games are played — only if you say yes. The cookie prompt asks first. If you allow it, we record which games and levels are started and how far people get, so we can make better games. If you say no, nothing is recorded and the site works the same.
- Payments, when we start taking them. Payments will be handled by Stripe. We will never see or store your card details; we keep only which plan you are on.
Your browser also keeps a few things on your own computer: your cookie choice, your settings, and a running total of your riding until it is saved to your account. They stay on your device.
Your trainer’s data (power and cadence) goes from your trainer to your browser over Bluetooth. We only receive the ride numbers above, and only when you are signed in.
What we do with it
We use it to run your account, show you your rides, and make the games better. We do not sell it, we do not show you adverts, and we do not share it with anyone except the services that run the site for us.
The services we use
- Clerk — sign-in and accounts
- Vercel — hosting the site
- Neon — our database
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google
- Stripe — payments, when we start taking them
Some of these store data outside the UK, under their own safeguards for doing so.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account and your rides.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to take a copy with you. Email paulstollery@gmail.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes
If we change what we collect or why, we will update this page and the date at the top.
